Ognyanovo is a charming village in the municipality of Garmen. Ognyanovo is a picturesque spa resort located on the right bank of the Kanina River, at the foot of the Rhodopes’ Dabrash Hill. The mineral water in Ognyanovo is collected from seven mineral springs and one drilling well. It has a temperature of 35 – 39.5°C and low mineralization suitable for treating diseases of the musculoskeletal system as well as neurological, gynecological, and urological diseases. The village has an impressive location and great views to Rila and Pirin.
Kovachevitsais a village that has preserved its authentic appearance from the 18th and 19th centuries and is one of the most famous and beautiful Bulgarian villages. The houses were almost entirely built of stone, including the roofs, and only the top floors of the highest of them were made of wood. The impressive architecture and the amazing scenery leave a memorable impression in visitors.
Leshten is a quaint village with preserved old Bulgarian houses. One of the main attractions of the village - along with the church, the private gallery, and the welcoming pub where they make wonderfully delicious blueberry jam – is the clay house known among the guests as the House of Flintstone.
